For me, one of the most gratifing experiences is to make someone, anyone, happy and excited by providing a good, complementery photograph. Everyone wants and needs a good picture, one that captures exturnal beauty, personality, and soul. Having been able to provide an optical complement is exciting and satisfing. I would have to say that next to design, photographing people, including straingers, is the most fascinating for me. Light and atmosphere are key components for capturing that beauty that sticks out for me. I always tell the subjects I work with that I am there for them, and with them, to capture the shots that best complement features and the mood. I aim for natural fluency and honesty, and avoid as much as possible touch up's, masking, etc. Unlike design & abstract, I am a partner in the process, and emerse myself in the partnership.
